Northeastern Pennsylvania, specifically: Simpson, PA; Forest City, PA. My great-grandfather Nicholas Wengrin, according to the records of St. Basil's Russian Orthodox Church in Simpson, PA (1900 Fell Township), emigrated with his brother Wasil in the mid-to-late 1890's. The two may have emigrated separately. There may have been a Peter & Anna Wengrin, husband & wife, who emigrated 1892 & 1899 respectively, also from Zhegestiv.

John and Dmitri Wytiaz (brothers) emigrated around 1900-1905, settled in Pittsburgh, PA. John married Katherine Nastycz, not sure if in Europe or US. I have never been able to pin down these individuals as to exact location. These families have vital records listing their countries of origin variously as Slovakia, Poland, Ukraine, Austria and Hungary (same people). Any input would be welcomed.

married and settled near Bridgeport, Ohio.
