The Society of Lemkos recently established an amateur theatre group (Teater Stovaryshynja Lemkiv) in Legnica; this group performed excerpts of a new Lemko-language play Poslidnja hodyna (The Final Hour), a dramatization of the 1947 deportation of the Lemkos, at the Second World Congress of Rusyns on May 23, 1993 in Krynica.155
Other Lemko community cultural activities have included New Year's Eve dances (malanky), dances, campfires and poetry readings.156
