This village was a filial parish to the one located in SUROVYCJA 3 km away. The wooden church was erected in 1927 replacing an older one that existed as early as 1830. Nothing remains.

In 1785 the village lands comprised 9.29 sq. km. There were 130 Greek Catholics 13 Roman Catholics and 0 Jews
