The wooden church replaced an older one mentioned in 1830. It was dismantled by Poles and material were used for collective farming activities.

The village was a filial parish to the one in KARLYKIV (3.5km)

In 1785 the village lands comprised 8.68 sq km There were 260 Greek Catholics 15 Roman Catholics and 7 Jews
