The village was a filial parish to the one located in SELYSKA (2km) The masonry church replaced an older wooden church that was built in 1615. On October 21 , 1935 it became an independant assistanship

In 1785 the village lands comprised 4.86 sq km There were 214 Greek Catholics 20 Roman Catholics and 20 Jews
