Church was "Patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary" built in 1900 [still standing]

The masonry church replaced an older wooden church of the same name which stood at least as early as 1828 but burned down. The new church was erected in part by the generosity of immigrants to the USA who in 1909 numbered 360 out of a population of 860. The church was taken over by Poles in 1947.

In 1785 the village lands comprised 16.48 sq.km. There were 493 Greek Catholics 25 Roman Catholics and 5 Jews

1899 - 858 Greek Catholics [128 had left for USA and Hungary]

1936 - 771 Greek Catholics

The village was incorporated into the Lemko Apostolic Administration in 1934

In 1936 there were also 167 Roman Catholics and 52 Protestants in the village
