The village was a filial parish to the one located in KOROLEVA RUS'KA located 4 km away. The wooden church was erected in 1858 replacing an older on that dated to at leats 1830. The church is now used by Poles. Prior to 1828 it was in independant parish that was established on August 10, 1627 when permission was given to the pastor to purchase the land for 100 zloty.
In 1785 the village lands comprised 13.41 sq.km. There were 550 Greek Catholics 5 Roman Catholics and 0 Jews
