The church was "Saints Kosmos and Damian" [1921] [destroyed]

The wooden church replaced an older wooden church of the same name. It was a parish until the death of the priest in 1856 and then was designated as a chapel. The entire village was burned by the Hungarian army in 1914.

In 1785 the village lands comprised 11.60 sq km. There were 280 Greek Catholics 0 Roman Catholics and 80 Jews
