Church was "Nativity of Saint John the Baptist" [1817] [still standing]

The masonry church is now usee by Poles.

In 1733, property was aquired for the establishment of the parish. There were two churches in the village until 1817 when the masonry church rplaced both of them. In 1777 a fire burned a good part of the village and the parish records were destroyed. In 1873 a cholera epidemic killed many parishoners.

In 1785 the village lands comprised 36.44 sq km. There were 1270 Greek Catholics 40 Roman Catholics and 23 Jews
