The church was "Saint Michael" [ 1846] [ still standing]

The wooden church was renovated in 1923 and in 1929. It replaced an older wooden church. It has been taken over by Poles

There was also a wooden chapel erected in 1867 but it is not mentioned prior to WW-I so perhaps it was aquired from another village.

The parish was established July 16, 1626 and there was an old bell dated from that year which weighed 300kg. In 1873, 94 villagers died in the cholera epidemic

In 1785 the village lands comprised 13.09 sq km. There were 545 Greek Catholics 0 Roman Catholics and 0 Jews
