The wooden church was blessed in 1822 and renovated in 1934. It was taken over by Poles in 1965.
In the 15th century there was a castle in which lived the owner of the property of Lisko, which included the village of Monastyrec'. On a hilltop by the San River there were vestiges of an even older castle with an unknown history.
