The church was "Transfiguration" [ 1818] [still standing]

The wooden church was blessed in 1822 and renovated in 1934. It was taken over by Poles in 1965.

In the 15th century there was a castle in which lived the owner of the property of Lisko, which included the village of Monastyrec'. On a hilltop by the San River there were vestiges of an even older castle with an unknown history.

In 1785 the village lands comprised 16.12 sq km. There were 540 Greek Catholics 71 Roman Catholics and 20 Jews
