The church was "Saints Kosmas and Damian" [1807] [still standing]

The wooden church was renovated in 1900 and 1930. The village is firstmentioned in documents in 1777 when Queen Elizabeth of Hungary and Poland gave permission for its establishment.

In 1785 the village lands comprised 9.3 sq km. There were 270 Greek Catholics 95 Roman Catholics and 7 Jews
