Church was "Deposition of the Vestments of the Blessed Virgin Mary" [1660] [destroyed]

The wooden church was renovated in 1890 and 1928. Only a wooden cross marks the place where the church stood. In 1945, the last priest, o. Orest Kaluzhnjac'kyj was sealed up in a cellar and left to die by the Poles.

The land for the village was given to the Polish nobleman Izdebski by King Kazymyr the Great in the 14th century. A Polish church was built on the site of the original church. On January 23, 1593, the landowner Katerina Waposka ordered all of the people in Izdebky would all have to become Roman Catholic and that all baptisms would have to be performed by a Latin Rite priest. The Greek Cathloics attended the church in VOLODZH until 1660 when they built their own church. In 1670 the priest purchased property for 400 zloty that was for the support of the parish
