Church was "Saint Michael the Archangel" [1843] [still standing in poor condition]

The church is used for storage of fertilizers. The Polish government turned the village lands into a penal collective farm for criminals not considered dangerous.

The village was a filial parish to ZHERNYCJA VYZHNJA 3.5 km away

In 1785 the village lands comprised 15.87 sq km. There were 349 Greek Catholics 50 Roman Catholics and 6 Jews
