The church was "Saint Michael the Archangel" [1840] [destroyed]

This village was a filial parish to the one located in KOMANCHA 4 km away. The wooden church was erected in 1840 replacing an older one dating to at least 1830. It was destroyed after WWII - only a wooden cross marks the site.

In 1785 the village lands comprised 12.77 sq. km. There were 315 Greek Catholics 7 Roman Catholics and 6 Jews
