Church was "Saint Nicholas / Circumcision of Jesus Christ" [1879] [still standing - but now used by Polish Roman Catholics]
The wooden church "Circumcision" replaced Saint Nicholas and was visited in 1836 by Bishop Snihurs'kyj.
The village was founded in 1402. From 1830-1866 it was a filial parish to ULJUCH. Next to the church is a large bell tower of interest dating from the 1600's and in the village is a roadside shrine.
In 1785 the village lands comprised 21.68 sq km. There were 540 Greek Catholics 65 Roman Catholics and 27 Jews
